Xiaomi FX 43-Inch 4K QD-Mini LED TV: Mini LED for Under Rs 28,000
Deal price: Rs 27,999 | MRP: Rs 49,999

Mini LED used to be a feature of expensive TVs. The Xiaomi FX (model L43MC-FSMIN) brings it to a 43-inch screen at a price most buyers would pay for a plain LED set. Here is what you get and where it falls short.
Xiaomi 43-inch FX QD-Mini LED 4K TV Picture quality
The panel is 43-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60Hz, with a Quantum Dot layer and a Mini LED backlight. It supports HDR10+ and HLG, and Xiaomi rates its colour gamut at about 93% DCI-P3. Viewing angles are listed at 178 degrees, and the TV also does 4K 60Hz motion smoothing (MEMC), which helps with sports and fast pans.
A Mini LED backlight uses much smaller LEDs than a standard one, so it can dim and brighten smaller areas of the screen. In theory that means deeper blacks and punchier highlights. In practice, results depend on how many dimming zones the TV has, and at this price the count is limited. Expect a visible step up from a basic LED panel, but not the contrast of a flagship Mini LED set.
Smart features
The Xiaomi 43-inch FX QD-Mini LED 4K TV runs Fire TV on a quad-core Cortex-A55 chip with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube are supported, and the Alexa-based interface will feel familiar if you’ve used a Fire TV Stick. Apple AirPlay and Miracast are both supported, so casting from an iPhone, Android phone or laptop works without extra hardware.
Ports and connectivity
- 3 HDMI ports: two HDMI 2.0 and one HDMI 2.1
- ALLM and CEC support
- eARC on HDMI 2 for connecting a soundbar
- 2 USB ports
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet
Three HDMI ports cover a set-top box, a console and a soundbar. If you also have a streaming stick or a PC, you may run short.
Sound
The built-in speakers are rated at 20W with Dolby Audio support. That is enough for news, sitcoms and casual viewing but thin for action films. If you watch a lot of movies, a budget soundbar through eARC is the easiest upgrade.
Design and size
With the stand attached, the TV measures about 957 x 197 x 609mm, and it’s about 66mm deep without it. A 200 x 200mm VESA pattern means wall mounting is straightforward. The stands sit at the two ends, so check that your table or TV unit is at least 74cm wide.
Warranty
The Flipkart listing mentions a one-year comprehensive warranty plus an additional year on the panel. Confirm the terms on whichever store you buy from, since they can differ.
Who should buy Xiaomi 43-inch FX QD-Mini LED 4K TV
Buy it if you want Mini LED and Quantum Dot colour on a small budget, you watch mostly streaming content, and you’re happy with Fire TV.
Skip it if you play on a console and want 120Hz, you want loud built-in speakers, or you need Dolby Vision. I couldn’t find Dolby Vision on Xiaomi’s official spec page, so check the listing before you count on it.
Before you buy
- Check the final price. Rs 27,999 may include a bank offer or coupon. Flipkart lists the same model at Rs 32,999, so compare stores.
- Look at return terms. A big discount from the Rs 49,999 MRP doesn’t tell you much, since the MRP is rarely what the TV sells for.
- Plan for a soundbar if audio matters to you.
