Poco’s Fifth X8 Phone Shows Up
Poco has four X8 phones out already, and a fifth is coming. It’s called the Poco X8s, if the leaks are right. Singapore’s IMDA has certified it, and it also turned up on Geekbench.
Model Number and Certifications
The model number is 2609CPC5FG. It appears in both the IMDA filing and the Geekbench entry, so it’s the same phone. It also cleared Europe’s EEC and IECEE databases earlier, but those listings had no hardware details. The “G” at the end means global version.
Is the Poco X8s Name Confirmed?
No. The name comes from a single leak by XimiTime, and Poco hasn’t said anything. I’d treat it as likely but unproven. It would fit between the Poco X8 and the X8 Pro.
Leaked Specs From Geekbench
The Geekbench run shows a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 12GB of RAM and Android 16 installed. It scored about 972 in single-core and 3,297 in multi-core. That’s roughly what you’d expect from this chip.
How It Compares to the Poco X8 and X8 Pro
The base Poco X8 runs a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. The X8 Pro has a Dimensity 8500 Ultra. The 7 Gen 4 sits between those two, so the X8s should be the middle option, on paper at least.
Where It Will Sell
Reports point to the European Economic Area, Turkey, Russia and China. India isn’t on the list. In China the phone is M583CF and will probably be sold as a Redmi, since Poco phones are usually rebadged Redmi models.
