Let compare Xiaomi SU7 Pro vs Xiaomi YU7 Pro and see which you will like, The SU7 Pro is a rear-drive electric sedan. The YU7 Pro is a dual-motor SUV. Both come from Xiaomi Auto in Beijing and share the Modena platform. The SU7 Pro suits commuters and people who like driving. The YU7 Pro suits families who want cargo height and cabin room. The comparison matters now because the original SU7 ended production in February 2026, and the YU7 has become the more popular of the two in China.
Xiaomi rates the SU7 Pro at 830 km and the YU7 Pro at 770 km, both on the CLTC cycle, which is generous. WLTP figures usually come out 20 to 25% lower, so I’d plan on roughly 620 to 660 km for the SU7 Pro and 580 to 615 km for the YU7 Pro. Those are my estimates, not official numbers. AC charging is 11 kW on both. DC is where they split. The YU7 runs 800V at up to 5.2C, and its 96.3 kWh battery goes from 10 to 80% in about 21 minutes. The SU7 is a 400V car with a lower peak rate. I couldn’t find a matching 10 to 80% time for the SU7 Pro, so expect a longer stop.

The YU7 Pro costs RMB 279,900. The SU7 Pro launched at RMB 245,900 (about US$34,600), though the 2026 refresh starts at RMB 229,900, so check current Pro pricing. The YU7 also has a Standard trim at RMB 233,500, added in May 2026, plus a Max. The SU7 comes as Standard, Pro, Max and Ultra. Both cars are China-only for now. Europe is expected, but nothing is confirmed. If you’re deciding between them, the question is whether the sedan’s lower price and efficiency beat the SUV’s space and faster charging.
Xiaomi’s own lineup includes the SU7 Ultra, the YU7 Max and the YU7 GT at RMB 389,900. Outside the brand, the Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y and BYD Seal are the obvious alternatives. This pairing still makes the most sense because the cars share a platform and software. What separates them is body style and charging speed.
SU7 Pro. The 830 km CLTC rating means fewer charging stops on a long commute. The sedan shape is more efficient and feels sportier at speed. It also costs less, which counts if you’re stretching a budget. On the downside, the 400V system charges slower on road trips. The low seating and trunk opening make bulky cargo and family use awkward.
YU7 Pro. The 800V system keeps charging stops short, which helps on long drives. The dual motors (365 kW) give it strong acceleration and good traction in the wet. The SUV body gives families more room and easier loading. On the downside, it costs more than the SU7 Pro. Its 770 km rating is also lower, and the taller body will likely use more energy per kilometre.
Pick the SU7 Pro if you want the lower price, sedan handling and better efficiency, and you mostly drive in town or commute. Pick the YU7 Pro if space, faster charging and all-wheel drive matter more. You give up some money and range on paper for the SUV’s practicality. Neither is officially sold outside China yet, so check local availability first. All range and charging figures are Xiaomi’s claims.
