A Xiaomi employee posted a summary of recent HyperOS 4 fixes on the Xiaomi Community yesterday. The fixes will arrive gradually with later version updates, and timing depends on the device model and app version. Xiaomi 17 series phones account for 12 of the 13 listed issues. The last one is on the REDMI K90.
HyperOS 4 Rollout So Far
HyperOS 4 is built on Android 17. Stable rollout in China began on October 15, 2026, with the Xiaomi 17 series and REDMI K90 in the first batch. Other devices follow through January, according to Xiaomi’s schedule. These are the first bugs to be tracked on the new system.

Seven fixes across two builds.
Version 4.0.5.0
- Automatic tasks fail to run properly in some scenarios.
Version 4.0.4.0
- Xiaomi Video shows display glitches in landscape mode.
- The global search interface displays incorrectly.
- The floating keyboard displays incorrectly.
- Notes loses line breaks.
- WeChat lags now and then.
- The photo album editor crashes.
Xiaomi 17 Pro
Three fixes, all on version 4.0.5.0:
- The app store lags.
- The calculator’s history shows incorrectly.
- The browser crashes.
Xiaomi 17
- Version 4.0.5.0: Rear camera photos come out with abnormal clarity.
- Version 4.0.4.0: The global search entry point misbehaves.
REDMI K90
- Version 4.0.4.0: The Xiaomi Mall interface displays incorrectly.
Other Models
The phones named in the announcement are the ones where Xiaomi verified each bug. If other models have the same problems, Xiaomi says it will fix those too. Xiaomi hasn’t given a release date, and every item is described only as happening “in certain scenarios,” so the exact triggers are unclear. Check Settings for the next system update.
