A new HyperOS 4 Launcher build is making the rounds as a standalone APK. Xiaomi didn’t publish it as a download. Community sites extracted it from a public HyperOS 4 system build, and the original signature is unchanged.
What’s in this build
The version is RELEASE-8.01.02.8565-260918-10121010-R (package com.miui.home, the system home screen). Xiaomi hasn’t posted a changelog, so nobody outside the company knows exactly what changed. The earlier 8.01.02 builds were mostly stability fixes, and I’d expect this one to be similar.
One thing to check before you share this: I couldn’t find another report of build 8565 itself, so confirm the version and date on MemeOSUpdates.
HyperOS 4 Launcher Compatibility
It’s made for HyperOS 4 but also runs on some HyperOS 3.1 builds. Don’t assume yours is one of them. Look up your device and ROM version first.
How to install
Download the APK from MemeOS Enhancer or the MemeOSUpdates website. If your phone blocks the install, allow unknown sources, then install over your current launcher. Reboot afterward and make sure gestures and the home screen work. Back up first, and keep the old version handy in case you need to roll back.
Why update the launcher on its own
It saves you waiting for a full OTA. The launcher is also the part of the system you see most, so a rough build is hard to miss.
Earlier builds
Versions 8.01.02.6245 and 8.01.02.7719 came out the same way. Both were described as maintenance updates, and neither had an official changelog either.
Quick answers
Is it official? Not as a standalone release. The file comes from Xiaomi’s firmware, but Xiaomi isn’t the one distributing it.
Is it safe? Use only the sources above and make sure the version number matches before installing.
