Xiaomi has announced the Mijia Smart Waist and Back Massager in China. It goes up for crowdfunding on Xiaomi Youpin on October 12 at 509 yuan (about $72), in black or light sand.
Xiaomi’s previous model, the 2024 Mijia Smart Waist Massager, had 20 massage balls working on the lower back. This one swaps them for a guide rail, so the heads can travel higher, from the shoulder blades down to the lumbosacral area.

Mijia Smart Waist and Back Massager Features
The rail is a 450mm flexible dual design with a heads on each side of the spine, moving up and down. Its R550mm curvature is meant to match the lower back, and Xiaomi says it follows national standards. There are four heads, two large and two small, made of high-tenacity material and arranged in an undulating pattern that imitates acupressure. It has seven preset modes, and the Mi Home app lets you save three of your own.

The app also adds a zone massage mode that moves the heads back and forth over a small area to work on one spot. You can skip the app entirely: a button on the side turns the device on. Heat comes from a graphene element covering 10,000 mm², and it can run alone or during any massage mode.

The unit weighs 2.2kg and is under 75mm thick. With the massage off, the curved body doubles as lumbar support. Put it under your legs and the heads can work on your calves. In standby the heads retract into the body, so leaning on it doesn’t press them into your back. It has a 3150mAh battery and comes with a 1.5-meter USB Type-C charging cable.
