Xiaomi has started pre-sales of the Mijia Air Conditioner “Su Cooling 2027”, a 1.5 hp inverter model. It lists at 1,899 yuan, and with state subsidies the price falls to 1,614.15 yuan, roughly 15% lower.

The efficiency rating is APF 5.3. The unit has a double-row evaporator, a 9.8 cc compressor, and a fan with 108 mm blades that pushes 760 m³/h. Rated cooling is 3,510 W (5,100 W at peak). Rated heating is 5,010 W (6,710 W at peak). Heating output that high is unusual for 1.5 hp, so this one is meant to work in winter too, not just summer.

Xiaomi claims it can cool in 30 seconds and heat in 60. It doesn’t say what that means in practice. It almost certainly refers to how quickly the unit starts blowing cold or warm air, not how fast a room reaches the set temperature, so don’t expect a cooled room in half a minute. The operating range is wide, from -35°C to +60°C, and noise starts at 18 dB(A), which is very quiet if it holds up in real use. The indoor and outdoor units both clean themselves.

On the smart side, the AC works with Mi Home through Pengpai Zhilian and receives OTA updates. The “Lingyun Zhikong” (灵云智控) engine learns how you use the unit and adjusts to cut energy use. Through the app you can run 122 types of remote diagnostics, which should help with maintenance over the years.

The warranty covers the entire device for 10 years. Most air conditioners don’t come close to that.
