For all those user that are looking for REDMI Note 17 HyperOS 3 Stable ROM, you can now download it. Update news also lands first in the Xiaomi Community app, if you want to follow along.
REDMI Note 17 specs
The Redmi Note 17 is a battery phone first. It has 7,700mAh globally and 8,000mAh in India, with 45W charging. The screen is a 6.99-inch AMOLED at 120Hz, bright enough at 1800 nits, with Gorilla Glass 7i. There are two flavors: the 5G has a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, the 4G has a Snapdragon 6s Gen 2, and that’s about the only real difference. RAM is 6GB or 8GB (the 4G also offers 4GB), storage is 128GB or 256GB, and global units take a microSD card. The main camera is 50MP. The selfie camera is 16MP globally but only 8MP in India, which is an odd place to cut. It’s IP65, 8.4mm thick, and ships with Android 16 and HyperOS 3. In India it’s Rs 27,999 for 6GB and Rs 30,999 for 8GB. Everything I found on the 4G’s global specs and European pricing came from leaks, so don’t lean on it yet.
Which ROM do you need?
Match the ROM to your phone’s region. German phones use EEA, Colombian phones use Global. This page only has Global and Taiwan, so if you need another region, look for its own package.
Global (OS3.0.310.0.WBUMIXM, 5.0 GB): Download
Taiwan (OS3.0.304.0.WBUTWXM, 4.8 GB): Download
Both come from the MIUI Official Team. The links carry a timestamp, so if one stops working, grab a fresh link from the official page.
Installing the REDMI Note 17 HyperOS 3 Stable ROM
You have two options. Local Update is done on the phone and is the easy one. Fastboot Update needs a PC, so use it only if you’re comfortable flashing.
Back up your data before you start, and keep the battery above 50%. Flashing another region’s ROM is the classic way to end up with a phone that won’t boot properly, so double-check the region first.
