The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is Xiaomi’s top flagship, a big slab phone with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display (1200 x 2608, 1-120Hz). It runs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12 or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, on HyperOS 3 (Android 16). It launched in China on December 25, 2025 and reached global markets at MWC 2026 on February 28. The camera is the main change: a 1-inch 50MP main sensor and a 200MP periscope that zooms optically from about 3.2x to 4.3x without stepping.
The China version has a 6,800mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the global one drops to 6,000mAh, so check which variant a review tested. Charging is 90W wired and 50W wireless, with 22.5W wired and 10W wireless reverse charging. Neither version lists a usable capacity figure.
In China it starts at CNY 6,999 (about $995) for 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB costs CNY 8,499. In Europe it starts at €1,499, and India got one 16GB/512GB model at ₹1,39,999. It makes sense if the camera is your main reason to buy and you can live with a heavy phone. Inside Xiaomi, it sits above the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Outside the brand, it goes up against the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the vivo X300 Pro, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the closest match for a direct comparison.
