Xiaomi has opened pre-orders for the Mijia Water Purifier 3 1200G in China. Sales start October 30 at 8:00 PM local time. The launch price is 1,499 yuan, roughly $210 to $225 depending on whose exchange rate you use.
Mijia Water Purifier 3 1200G Filtration and capacity
There are 13 filtration stages with a claimed 0.0001-micron precision, and the filter media contains no scale inhibitors. Xiaomi says the system removes 145 types of tap-water pollutants, among them residual chlorine, heavy metals, bacteria and viruses. Total output is rated at 50 tons, or about 50,000 liters. The water is BPA-free, and the unit carries mother-and-baby-grade certification.

Stale water and bacteria
Water left in the pipes while the purifier sits idle is a common complaint with these units. This one flushes it out automatically, so the first glass after a few days away should taste normal. The outlet pipe also has an antibacterial material, and Xiaomi claims over 99% effectiveness against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Both are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
Flow rate
Xiaomi quotes 3.74 L/min at the start, enough to fill a 150 mL cup in about 2.4 seconds. The spec sheet says 1400G for direct drinking water while the product name says 1200G. 1400 gallons a day works out to about 3.7 L/min, which matches the flow figure, so 1400G is probably the real rating and 1200G is the series name.

Display and app
The screen shows water mode, volume setting and TDS. The Mi Home app adds water quality and usage data, remaining filter life and volume settings.
Versus the Fukuang Water Purifier 2
The Mijia Fukuang Water Purifier 2, announced in September 2026, has 9 filtration stages and a 3.38 L/min flow. The 3 1200G has 13 stages and 3.74 L/min.
