Xiaomi’s multi-purpose kettles sell well in China. In June we covered the Mijia Smart Health Pot 2, a small transparent pot that cooks, makes infusions and heats liquids. Earlier models like the N1 and S2 came before it.
The new Mijia Smart Health Pot 2 Pro 1.8L is on sale in China, and it targets a real annoyance. Forget the leaves in an electric kettle and the tea turns bitter. The Pro keeps the glass body and adds a filter that lifts itself out of the water.

How the magnetic tea filter works
A built-in program raises and lowers the magnetic filter, so you never reach into hot water. Xiaomi says it separates tea from water in 2.5 seconds, and also claims better retention of heat-sensitive nutrients. I’d treat the nutrient part as marketing until someone tests it. The filter base is 316L stainless steel.
Mijia Smart Health Pot 2 Specs: size, power and safety
The kettle has a transparent borosilicate glass body that measures 227 x 152 x 265 mm and weighs 1.4 kg. A touch panel at the base shows temperature and status. All parts that touch water are food-grade.
It draws 1,200 W and holds 1.8 liters, of which 1.1 liters is the tea space. Safety features include double dry-boil protection and a three-minute pick-up memory. Lift the carafe to pour, put it back within three minutes, and it carries on with the same program.
Temperature settings and keep-warm
There are 11 temperatures from 40 to 90 °C in 5 °C steps, which suits people who drink both green and black tea. A timer and a 24-hour scheduling and keep-warm function let you set it up at night and find hot water in the morning.
Through the Mijia app (HyperOS Connect), the kettle gets 6 more preset programs and over 50 cloud recipes.

Price and availability
The Pro costs 339 yuan (about $48 or €41) on JD.com, or 289 yuan in regions with the national subsidy. That is more than double the 139 yuan the standard Health Pot 2 cost in June, so the price is the main catch.
It is sold only in China, and Xiaomi hasn’t announced other markets.
