PROS

  1. Titanium frame weighs 27.6 g without lenses
  2. 13 hours of playback, 4 hours from a 10-minute charge
  3. Four microphones, Bluetooth 5.4, IP54 rating

CONS

  1. No camera, display or AI features
  2. Open-ear audio is weaker for music in noisy places

The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses are open-ear audio glasses from Xiaomi, with no camera and no display. They are priced in the mid-range for audio wearables. The speakers and four microphones are inside the frame, which looks like regular eyewear. There are three styles: Pilot-Style (32.3 g), Browline (32.4 g) and Titanium (27.6 g), all weights without lenses. This is the global release of Xiaomi’s second-generation audio glasses. The earlier Xiaomi Smart Audio Glasses have two microphones and Bluetooth 5.2. This one has four microphones, Bluetooth 5.4, Google Fast Pair and a lighter frame. It also adds wind noise reduction and a privacy mode that cuts sound leakage during calls.

Two 114 mAh batteries sit in the frame, charged over USB-C at 5V/500mA. A full charge takes about an hour. Xiaomi rates playback at 13 hours (at 50% volume), calls at 9 hours and standby at 12 days. Ten minutes of charging gives roughly 4 hours of listening. The glasses are IP54 rated and work with Android 10 or iOS 14 and above. The Xiaomi Glasses app handles touch gestures, device switching, voice assistants and finding lost glasses.

The China launch price was 999 yuan during crowdfunding, with a retail price of 1,199 yuan. In Europe, Browline and Pilot-Style are €179.99 and Titanium is €199.99. In the Philippines they are PHP 10,999 and PHP 12,999, in Malaysia they start at RM799, and a UK deal listing showed £149.99. They fit someone who wants calls, podcasts and commute audio in a normal-looking frame and doesn’t need a camera or an AI assistant. Within Xiaomi’s range, the earlier Xiaomi Smart Audio Glasses are the cheaper option with fewer microphones, and the Xiaomi AI Glasses cost more and add a camera and AI features. Among other brands, the Ray-Ban Meta glasses cost considerably more and have a camera, and the Amazon Echo Frames are audio-only with Alexa. The closest direct comparison is the Razer Anzu, another audio-only pair at a similar price.
