Xiaomi has started selling the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Plus in Spain for €399.99. It sits at the top of Xiaomi’s purifier range, and Xiaomi rates it for rooms of up to 91 m².
One motor, two impellers
One motor drives two impellers, and there are two filters. Xiaomi quotes 12,666 liters of air per minute and a particle CADR of 810 m³/h. By its numbers, a 10 m² room gets fully renewed in under two minutes.
Coverage
The rated range is 53 to 91 m². The 91 m² figure assumes fewer air changes per hour, so it is the best case, not the typical one. If your room is around 30 m², the cheaper Purifier 6 (29 to 50 m²) already covers it.
Filtration
There are five stages: a primary filter for hair and debris, a high-efficiency filter for fine particles and allergens, an activated carbon layer for formaldehyde and odors, a UVC module and a negative ion layer. The formaldehyde CADR is 234 m³/h.
UVC and allergen tests
Xiaomi’s lab tests show the UVC module removing 99.99% of H1N1 flu virus after one hour, and 99.9% of E. coli, K. pneumoniae and S. aureus. These come from Xiaomi, not an independent lab. If someone at home has the flu, the purifier can cut down on airborne germs, but you should still open a window.
Xiaomi also cites SGS certification for allergens. After one hour it reports 98% of pollen, 98.1% of dust mites, 99% of mold, 99% of cat dander and 98.1% of dog dander removed.
Size, noise and controls
It measures 280 x 280 x 713 mm and rolls on hidden 360-degree wheels. Night mode is rated at 19.4 dB(A), which is very quiet for a purifier this size. Five sensors (PM1, PM2.5, dust, humidity, temperature) adjust the fan automatically, and an LCD shows the readings. The Xiaomi Home app handles schedules and automations, for example starting the purifier when you arrive home or switching to sleep mode at night. Google Assistant and Alexa are supported.

Spain: €399.99. Germany: around €400. The Purifier 6 launched in Spain at €189.99, so the Plus costs over twice as much.
