Xiaomi SkyNomad Passes 70,000 Locked-In Orders in One Month, Powering a Record Delivery Month

Xiaomi says it has more than 70,000 locked-in orders for the Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 and N70 EREVs, a month after they went on sale. Pre-orders opened at the end of July, and the cars launched on September 7.

Deliveries are already moving. Xiaomi handed over more than 10,000 Xiaomi SkyNomads in September, which helped lift its total past 40,000 for the month. That’s its best of 2026, up from 30,153 in August.

There’s no breakdown by model. The N90 probably leads: a Beijing store reported more N90 interest, and the Beijing-Tianjin region alone passed 30,000 intent-deposit orders. Intent deposits aren’t locked orders, so treat that as a hint only. The last number Xiaomi gave was 10,000 locked orders within four minutes of going on sale.

The N70 is a five-seater and the N90 a seven-seater. Both Max versions pair a 1.5-liter petrol range extender with dual motors making 310 kW combined. Launch prices run from 209,900 yuan for the N70 Pro to 299,900 yuan for the N90 Max Explorer. Xiaomi also claims the N70 Max has the longest battery-only range of any production EREV, though I haven’t seen independent numbers.

SkyNomad is Xiaomi’s first step beyond the battery-electric SU7 and YU7. It’s meant for people who still don’t trust the charging network on a long drive. Xiaomi wants to deliver 550,000 vehicles this year, and a lot of that now rides on these two SUVs. How quickly the 70,000 orders turn into deliveries will say more than the order count does.
