POCO X8s Overview
POCO has launched the X8s in the Philippines alongside the POCO X8, with a first-day sale starting November 6. The X8s is a compact 5G phone with a 6.35-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED screen that runs 1–120Hz at 460 ppi and reaches 3,500 nits. Bezels are 1.18mm. At 187g with an aluminum frame and glass back, it comes in black, blue and white. The rear cameras are a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto and an 8MP ultra-wide. Software is HyperOS 3 on Android 16. The phone is IP68-rated and has stereo speakers tuned for Dolby Atmos.
Battery, Charging and Performance
Performance comes from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a 4nm chip with a 2.8 GHz peak clock, cooled by a 3D IceLoop system that spans 4,497 mm². The battery is a 6,330mAh silicon-carbon cell. Wired charging is 100W, and the phone can also push 22.5W out to earbuds or another phone.
POCO X8s Price in the Philippines and Who It Fits
The 8GB+256GB model has an SRP of ₱24,999 and costs ₱22,999 from November 6 to 15. The 12GB+512GB model is ₱27,999, or ₱25,999 during the same sale. This is the phone for someone who finds 6.8-inch screens unwieldy but doesn’t want to give up a telephoto lens or 100W charging. POCO’s other options are the X8 and the X8 Pro, which arrived locally in March.
The closest comparison is the POCO X8. It is bigger, with a 6.83-inch screen and a 223g body, and it has a larger 8,340mAh battery with slower 67W charging. The X8s has the faster chip, 100W charging and the telephoto camera, and its SRP is ₱1,000 higher for 8GB+256GB (₱24,999 vs ₱23,999).
