The Poco F9 Pro is a flagship phone from Poco, Xiaomi’s gaming-leaning sub-brand. It has a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen at 185Hz, runs Android 16 on HyperOS 3, and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The chip is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, paired with the VisionBoost D8 display chip. The rear cameras are a 200MP main, a 50MP 2.5x telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide. It is a rebadged Redmi K100 Pro. The main difference from that phone is the battery.
The F9 Pro has a 6,330 mAh silicon-carbon cell. The Redmi K100 Pro has 8,580 mAh. Charging is 100W wired and 50W wireless, with 27W wired and 22.5W wireless reverse charging. The phone is IP69 rated. The 3nm chip should help efficiency, but there are no independent battery tests yet, so treat endurance claims with caution.
US launch pricing starts at $699, roughly Rs. 66,400. The UK price is £639. The Philippines SRP is ₱49,999, with launch promos as low as ₱33,999. India has no official launch yet. I found no confirmed Nigerian price, so check local importers. It suits buyers who want flagship processing and a telephoto camera for less than a Samsung or Google flagship, mainly gamers and heavy multitaskers.
Inside Poco’s lineup, it sits between the F9 Ultra and the F7. The Ultra has the full Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.9-inch display and an 8,050mAh battery. The F7 is older and cheaper, for people who don’t need the newest chip.
Outside the brand, the Google Pixel 10 and Vivo V70 are the nearest rivals. Croma lists both as alternatives in the same segment. The Pixel 10 offers longer software support and strong camera processing. The V70 focuses on camera tuning and design and has less raw performance.
The closest direct match is the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE. The F9 Pro has faster charging, a higher refresh rate and more camera hardware. The S25 FE has Samsung’s longer update policy, wider service network and easier resale. If you are weighing the two, it comes down to hardware per dollar versus after-sales support.
