Xiaomi’s Lite watches are the “good enough for less” pick, and the Redmi Watch 6 Lite sticks to that. It was announced in August 2026 with a 1.96″ display and a 470 mAh battery.
I’d start with the screen. Xiaomi claims 1500 nits peak brightness on the AMOLED panel, and since that’s a lab number I’d treat it as a ceiling. Outdoors it should still hold up fine. The always-on mode is there if you want the watch to look like a watch.
It’s slim, too: 9.9mm thick and 29g. That’s easy to forget you’re wearing, which matters if you sleep with it on.
The fitness side is better than the price suggests. Built-in multi-system GPS means outdoor runs and rides don’t need your phone. Swimmers get average speed, underwater heart rate changes and SWOLF, and there are 150+ sports modes. Heart rate, SpO2, stress and sleep tracking round it out. Treat those numbers as trends, not diagnoses.
Xiaomi quotes up to 18 days of battery on light use, 12 on normal and 6 on heavy. I’d expect GPS workouts and the always-on display to eat into that quickly.
The catch is payments. Neither the Lite nor the Active has NFC, so tap-to-pay stays with the standard Redmi Watch 6. No Wi-Fi or cellular either. If you pay with your wrist, get the regular one. If you don’t, skip it and pocket the savings.
