The REDMI Buds 8 Lite is an entry level true wireless earbud from Xiaomi’s Redmi line, model M2539E1. It has a 12.4 mm dynamic driver, 42 dB hybrid ANC and Bluetooth 5.4, with SBC and AAC codecs. It launched on January 15, 2026 as the successor to the Buds 6 Lite. Xiaomi left the design mostly alone and put the work into the battery.
Each earbud carries 45 mAh and the case holds 475 mAh. Xiaomi quotes 8 hours per charge and 36 hours with the case, and both numbers are with ANC off. A 10 minute top-up gives roughly 2 hours. The case charges over USB Type-C, but no cable comes in the box. Each earbud weighs about 4.5 g.
At launch it cost €22.90 globally. US listings sit around $26, while Nepal lists it at Rs. 4,999 and Bangladesh at BDT 3,299. It suits commuters and students who want ANC on a small budget, and anyone after a backup pair. In the Redmi range, the nearest models are the Buds 6 Lite, which it replaces, and the Buds 6 Pro, which costs more. Rivals at a similar price include the Soundcore P40i and Realme Buds T200 Lite. The direct comparison is the JBL Vibe Beam 2, the model Smartprix lists against it.
