Xiaomi, the phone maker, sells the YU7 as a five-seat electric SUV. Xiaomi YU7 Standard vs Xiaomi YU7 Pro, Both cars here share its 800V platform. The Standard has a single rear motor and is the budget pick. The Pro adds a front motor, so you get all-wheel drive and quicker acceleration. The Standard is the reason to look at this now: Xiaomi launched a cheaper version on May 21, 2026, and it changes the math.

There’s no EPA rating, and I found no official WLTP number. Everything below is CLTC, China’s test cycle, which tends to flatter. The new Standard is rated at 643 km. The Pro is rated at 770 km. So the dearer car goes further, which surprised me. As a rough guess, real driving lands at 70–80% of the rated figure. That means roughly 450–515 km for the Standard and 540–620 km for the Pro. It’s an estimate, not a test result.
On charging, the Pro’s 96.3 kWh LFP battery peaks at 250 kW and takes about 21 minutes to go from 10% to 80%. One aggregator lists the new Standard at about 13 minutes, with 11 kW AC charging. I couldn’t match that to Xiaomi’s own figures, so treat it with caution.
Xiaomi YU7 Standard vs Xiaomi YU7 Pro Price, availability and market fit
The new Standard starts at RMB 233,500, roughly $32,500. The Pro is RMB 279,900, roughly $39,000. The Standard makes 235 kW. The Pro makes 365 kW and reaches 100 km/h in 4.27 seconds. The older 2025 rear-drive Standard is also worth knowing about: RMB 253,500, rated at 835 km.
You can’t buy either officially outside China. Xiaomi says Germany comes in 2027 and right-hand-drive markets like the UK in 2028. It has announced nothing for the US.
So the question this page answers is simple: is all-wheel drive plus quicker acceleration worth about RMB 46,400?
Ecosystem and rival context
Above both sit the YU7 Max at RMB 329,900 and the YU7 GT at RMB 389,900. The SU7 sedan is the alternative if you don’t want an SUV. Outside Xiaomi, look at the Tesla Model Y (from RMB 263,500, or RMB 313,500 for Long Range AWD) and the Zeekr 7X. I’d still compare the Standard and Pro first. They share a platform, cabin and software, so the only differences are drivetrain, range and price.
QUICK VERDICT
Choose the Standard if price matters most and you mostly drive in town or commute. Choose the Pro if you want all-wheel drive, faster acceleration and a higher rated range than the new Standard. You pay about RMB 46,400 extra for that. Keep the original 835 km rear-drive car in mind too, because it out-ranges both.
