The Redmi Buds 8 are Xiaomi’s entry-to-mid-range true wireless earbuds under the Redmi brand. The body is semi-in-ear with a short stem, and each bud weighs about 5 g. Drivers are 11mm dynamic, protection is IP54, and Bluetooth is 5.4. They are the standard model in the Buds 8 range, which also includes the Lite, Active and Pro. They launched in China in April 2026 with up to 50 dB ANC in three levels and LHDC alongside SBC and AAC.
Each bud has a 54 mAh battery, and the USB-C case has 475 mAh. With ANC off, Xiaomi rates 11 hours per bud and 44 hours with the case. Turn ANC on and that drops to about 6.5 hours and 28 hours. A 10-minute charge gives up to 4 hours of music or 1.5 hours of calls.
In China they cost CNY 229 (about $34). The global price is $49.90, Pakistan is Rs. 13,999, Nepal is Rs. 10,499, and some US listings show $59.99. They suit buyers who want ANC and a long case battery without paying for the Pro’s triple drivers. Within Redmi they sit between the Buds 8 Lite and the Buds 8 Pro. Rivals at a similar price include the CMF Buds 2 Plus and the Realme Buds Air 7. The closest match on price and ANC is the Soundcore Space A40 at around $50, so compare codec support and water resistance between the two.
