Poco F9 Ultra vs Redmi K100 Pro Max, Both phones are Xiaomi flagships, and they are close to the same phone. The Poco F9 Ultra is built for buyers outside China who want a fast gaming phone and a long-lasting battery. The Redmi K100 Pro Max is for buyers in China, or importers who don’t mind a Chinese-market handset. Redmi announced the K100 Pro Max on 11 August 2026, and Poco followed on September 1. People are comparing them because Xiaomi has rebadged Redmi K phones as Poco F models before.

The specs barely differ. The Poco has a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 6.9-inch AMOLED that runs up to 185Hz. The Redmi matches the chip and screen, and also has a 200MP main camera, a 5x periscope and a Bose-tuned subwoofer. The Poco has the same camera setup and also charges at 100W wired and 50W wireless. The gap is battery size. The Poco has 8,050mAh, and one outlet expects up to two days on light to moderate use. The Redmi has 9,070mAh and should last longer, but I found no independent battery tests for either phone. The Poco is rated IP68. I couldn’t confirm a rating for the Redmi.
The Poco starts at $799, €999 in Europe and RM3,599 in Malaysia. The Redmi starts at CNY 4,499, with a CNY 4,199 promotion. It’s China only. So the question is simple: is a local warranty worth the higher price?
Poco’s F9 Pro is the cheaper option. It costs $699 and trades away battery and ultrawide quality. Redmi’s K100 Pro has an 8,580mAh battery and starts at $548. From other brands, the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15 use the same chip generation, but I haven’t checked their prices. The Poco and Redmi are still the more useful pair to compare, because the gap between them comes down to price and region, not hardware.
The Poco gives you a global release, a confirmed IP68 rating and a warranty you can use. That matters if you want a phone you can return or repair locally, though reviewers have said its price marks the end of Poco as a value brand. The Redmi has about 1,000mAh more battery and a lower price, but importing it means no local warranty and possible network or software problems. Choose the Poco F9 Ultra if you want support close to home. Choose the Redmi K100 Pro Max if battery and price matter more to you than that safety net.
