Redmi 17C vs Poco C95 Pro

Redmi 17C vs Poco C95 Pro, Both phones are cheap Xiaomi handsets. The Redmi 17C is the newest entry in Redmi’s C line, which targets low-income groups and mass markets. The Poco C95 Pro is aimed at buyers who want long battery life and a low price. The comparison matters now because both launched in the past few weeks. The Redmi 17C 5G went on sale in India on October 7, and the Poco launched in Singapore around October 1.

Redmi 17C vs Poco C95 Pro

Redmi 17C vs Poco C95 Pro Specs

The Redmi 17C comes in two versions, and they differ a lot. The 5G model sold in India and Singapore has a 6.9-inch HD+ 120Hz screen, a Dimensity 6300 chip, a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging, a 50MP camera and IP64 protection. The 4G model sold in China drops to a Helio G81 Ultra, a 5,160mAh battery and 18W charging. The Poco C95 Pro is 4G only. It has the same 6.9-inch 120Hz HD+ screen, a Helio G91 Ultra chip, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, a 50MP main camera, and a 7,500mAh battery with 45W charging. It also has Gorilla Glass 7i, NFC and a headphone jack. I found no independent battery tests, so these numbers are my estimates. Poco claims up to 28 hours of video playback. I’d expect about a day and a half of mixed use from the Poco and a day to a day and a half from the Redmi 5G. The Redmi’s chip should also be faster, and it is the only one with 5G.

Redmi 17C vs Poco C95 Pro Price

The Redmi 17C 5G starts at ₹20,999 in India and is listed at SGD 279 in Singapore. The China-only 4G version costs CNY 799. The Poco C95 Pro starts at S$169 in Singapore during the early-bird sale and is also sold in the EU. I found no confirmed Nigerian prices for either phone, so check local retailers. In short, this comparison asks whether 5G is worth paying more for, or whether you’d rather have a bigger battery at a lower price.

If neither fits, look at nearby models. Redmi’s Note 17 is sold in India with an 8,000mAh battery. Poco’s C85 uses the same Dimensity 6300 chip as the Redmi 17C 5G. Outside Xiaomi, the Infinix Hot 70 Pro launched in India with a 144Hz display, a Dimensity 7100 5G chip, a 50MP Sony camera and a 6,000mAh battery. The Redmi and the Poco are still the better pair to compare, because they share a screen size and software but split on the two things budget buyers care about most, 5G and battery.

The Redmi 17C 5G has a faster chip and 5G, which matters if you plan to keep it for several years. It costs more and has the smaller battery. The Poco C95 Pro lasts longer and charges faster, which suits people who are often away from a socket, and it costs less. It has no 5G and a slower chip. Choose the Redmi 17C 5G if you want 5G and better long-term performance. Choose the Poco C95 Pro if battery life and price matter more.
