The Xiaomi 17T Pro is the top phone in Xiaomi’s T series. It’s a sub-flagship slab with a metal frame, a 6.83-inch 144Hz AMOLED display and a Dimensity 9500 chip. Global models ship with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage on Android 16. T-series phones normally launch in September and usually use Snapdragon chips. This one launched in May with MediaTek.
The battery is 7,000mAh silicon-carbon, a big jump from the 5,500mAh in the 15T Pro. Charging is 100W wired and 50W wireless. Xiaomi hasn’t given a usable-capacity number. The cameras are Leica-tuned: 50MP main, 50MP 5x periscope, 12MP ultrawide.
In France it’s €999 for 12GB/512GB. UK pricing starts at £799, £100 above the 15T Pro. China’s range is CNY 3,999 to CNY 4,799. I couldn’t find a confirmed Nigerian price, so check local retailers.
It makes sense if you want a flagship chip, a large battery and wireless charging, and the 17 Ultra costs more than you’ll pay. In Xiaomi’s own lineup it sits above the 17T (Dimensity 8500 Ultra, 6,500mAh, 67W) and below the 17 Ultra. Outside Xiaomi, look at the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and OnePlus 15R; I haven’t checked their current prices. The nearest direct comparison is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+.
