The Poco C81x is an entry-level 4G phone from Poco, Xiaomi’s sub-brand. The screen is a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD (720×1640) at 120Hz. The phone weighs 193 g, is 8.3 mm thick, has IP52 splash resistance and carries its fingerprint sensor on the side. Inside is a Unisoc T7250 with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, the only configuration, and a microSD slot for more space. It launched on Android 15 with up to 2 major upgrades promised, where the C81 and C81 Pro get 4. Within the C81 line it has the least RAM and the lowest price.
The battery is 5,200mAh. Wired charging is 15W and reverse wired charging is 7.5W. The regular C81 has 6,300mAh and the C81 Pro has 6,000mAh, so this is the smallest of the three. 15W is slow even for 5,200mAh, and I found no usable-capacity figure or measured charge time.
In India it launched at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB + 64GB model. In Europe the price is about €90, and a US listing shows $106.24, which is an estimate, not an official price. It fits a cheap first or backup phone for someone who wants a big screen, a headphone jack and a microSD slot, and who can live without 5G or much multitasking. In Poco’s range it sits below the C81 (4GB/64GB, 6,300mAh, Android 16) and the C81 Pro (4GB RAM, 6,000mAh, up to 256GB storage). Rivals from other brands include the Realme C71 and the Infinix Hot 60i. The nearest direct match is the Poco C71, which has the same chipset, the same 6.88-inch 120Hz screen and the same 5,200mAh, 15W battery. The C71 launched in India at ₹6,499, which is ₹3,500 less than the C81x.
