The Redmi Note 15 Special Edition, also sold as the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G, is a mid-range phone from Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand. It launched in India on April 2, 2026. The slab body has a 6.77-inch curved 120Hz AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. A microSD slot takes cards up to 1TB. The Special Edition is a Redmi Note 15 5G with a bigger battery. Its main camera is a 50MP sensor, down from the 108MP unit on the global model. The Crimson Reserve colour has a vegan leather back, and the other two colours are Carbon Black and Frosted White.

The battery is a 5,800mAh silicon-carbon cell with 45W wired charging and reverse wired charging, and a 45W charger comes in the box. Xiaomi has not published a usable capacity. The global Redmi Note 15 5G has a 5,520mAh battery with the same 45W rate. Carbon Black is 7.35mm thick and weighs about 178g, while Crimson Reserve is 7.82mm thick.

In India the phone costs ₹19,999 for 6GB+128GB, ₹21,999 for 8GB+128GB and ₹22,999 for 8GB+256GB, roughly $215 to $250. One report gives a starting price of ₹24,999, so check the current listing. It suits someone shopping at about ₹20,000 to ₹23,000 who cares more about battery, screen and an IP rating than camera resolution. Within Redmi, it sits below the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and replaces the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G. Outside the brand, the Vivo T5x and the Moto G96 5G compete with it. The closest direct comparison is the Redmi Note 15 5G, which shares the chipset and screen size but has a 108MP main camera, a smaller battery and a higher launch price.
