The Redmi K100 Pro Max is Xiaomi’s top Redmi K-series phone, announced in China on 11 August 2026. It’s a flagship slab phone with a flat 6.9-inch AMOLED screen (2608 x 1200, 185Hz), a metal frame and IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings. It comes in five configurations, from 12GB/256GB up to 16GB/1TB, using LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3. The Pro Max is the version of the K100 line with the full Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The cheaper K100 Pro gets a binned chip with a two-core GPU instead of three. Cameras are a 200MP main sensor (1/1.56-inch), a 50MP periscope with 5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide and a 32MP front camera.
Power and charging
The Redmi K100 Pro Max battery is 9,070mAh and uses silicon-carbon cells with roughly 16% silicon. Xiaomi hasn’t published a usable capacity figure. Charging runs at 100W wired and 50W wireless. Reverse charging is 27W wired and 22.5W wireless, so the phone can top up other devices. Cooling is a 6,300mm² vapor chamber with no fan, which is a change from the Redmi K90 Max. The screen peaks at 4,500 nits and samples touch at 480Hz. The fingerprint scanner is ultrasonic and sits under the display, and the speakers are a Bose-tuned 2.1-channel setup.
Pricing, fit and context
In China the phone starts at CNY 4,199, about $622 or Php 38,200. That’s a launch promotion, and the regular starting price is CNY 4,499. The top 16GB/1TB model costs around $890. It’s China-only for now, so there’s no official price for Nigeria or most other regions. Anyone outside China would be buying a grey-market import until a global version appears.
It suits mobile gamers and battery-conscious buyers who want a current flagship chip and a fast screen for well under $700. It makes less sense if you rely on local warranty support.
Within Xiaomi’s range, it sits above two models:
Outside Xiaomi, the closest rivals are the RedMagic 11S Pro, a gaming phone with a lower refresh rate than the K100 Pro Max, and the OnePlus 15, which also uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The Poco F8 Ultra is the best direct comparison. It has similar Bose audio and a similar rear design, and it has been listed around $839 on Amazon. The K100 Pro Max has the larger battery and the faster screen. The F8 Ultra has the one real advantage that it’s sold globally.
