Mijia Refrigerator Cross Door 502L

Xiaomi’s Mijia Refrigerator Cross Door 502L (model MRC50ESSMPAEU, listed by some EU retailers as LTP4551EU) is a four-door, free-standing side-by-side. It has 502 L of net capacity. That is a 297 L fridge, a 176 L freezer and a 29 L iFresh zone you can set anywhere from -1°C to 5°C. The body measures 852 × 600 × 1,912 mm and comes in brushed silver. It is the first Xiaomi fridge sold in Europe. Xiaomi doesn’t give it a tier, but at around €849 I’d call it mid-range.

There is no battery, so energy and noise are the numbers to watch. Xiaomi declares 305 kWh a year (0.836 kWh per 24 hours). The compressor is an inverter and the energy class is E. These are manufacturer figures, and Xiaomi doesn’t say which test standard produced them. It adds that real consumption shifts with how full the fridge is, the room and how often the doors open. Noise is rated at 37 dB. The refrigerant is R600a and the cooling system is single-circuit. The Xiaomi Home app sets temperatures and modes, a door left open for more than two minutes triggers an alert, and Alexa and Google Assistant work with it. Czech coverage mentions a ten-year compressor warranty. I couldn’t find that on Xiaomi’s own terms, so check it before you repeat it.

Launch pricing is £799 / €849 on Xiaomi’s store. Italy had a limited-time €749 offer. Other listings are 14,999 Kč in the Czech Republic, €899 in Croatia and €818.99 in Latvia. The fridge first appeared late last year, but I couldn’t confirm a home-market price or launch country, so €849 is the working reference.

It makes sense if you want a big, quiet fridge with app control and don’t have a water line. You give up a dispenser, and class E is not a strong efficiency result for the size.

Xiaomi sells two larger fridges. The Pro 560L launched in China in December and isn’t sold in Europe. The Side-by-Side 621L hadn’t reached the Czech store. I found no price for the 621L.

Two rivals are the Hisense RS818N4IIE1 and the LG GSXV90MBAE. The Hisense is 632 L, class E and 346 kWh a year per a retailer listing, at €767 on Amazon.es. The LG is a 635 L InstaView model at around €1,999 at LG Spain. That is a big step up in price, so treat it as a premium reference. I couldn’t verify a closer second rival.

The Hisense is the direct comparison. It offers roughly 130 L more space and a water and ice dispenser, in a 179 × 91 × 73 cm body. The Xiaomi is 85.2 cm wide and declares about 41 kWh a year less. That gap sets a Xiaomi figure against a retailer figure, so check the Hisense’s EU label before publishing it.
