Xiaomi has put the Mijia Smart Waist Massager 2 on Youpin crowdfunding in China. The campaign price is 379 yuan (about $53), and the suggested retail price is [499 yuan, about $70]. It follows the 2024 Mijia Smart Waist Massager, and most of the changes are in the hardware: a bigger battery, a new massage mechanism and heating on both sides.
Youpin crowdfunding products rarely reach Xiaomi’s international stores, and a global release has not been confirmed.
What changed from the 2024 model
The old model used 20 massage balls. The new one has four heads. One pair kneads a wide area, and the other pair presses on specific points. The kneading heads sit at different heights to follow the curve of the lower back and hips. The acupressure heads stick out 8mm, so they reach the muscle rather than just the skin.
The battery grows from 2,400mAh to 3,150mAh, and runtime goes from 90 to 110 minutes. [Charging is over USB-C.] Noise is 50dB(A) or lower, quiet enough for a desk or a sofa.
The one step back is the preset count, which drops from 10 modes to 7. Xiaomi adds three custom slots to make up for it.

Both sides of the cushion heat, with three temperature levels. The front warms the lower back. Flip it over and the back side warms the abdomen. [The lower-back heating area is 15,000 mm², and the four heads cover 46,500 mm² in total.]
The Mi Home app has seven presets and three custom modes. It also adjusts heat and sets timers from 2 to 30 minutes. If you don’t want the app, or you’re buying for an older relative, large buttons on the side control everything directly.
With the electronics off, it is a regular lumbar cushion made of [slow-rebound memory foam] with a fabric cover. [It comes in Light Sand and Dark Gray.]
Xiaomi’s other recent crowdfunding launches include the Mijia Shoe Washing Machine, at [around $110], and a portable hair dryer with a [110,000 RPM motor and 10 drying modes].
