The Poco X8 Power 5G is an upper mid-range phone from Xiaomi’s Poco brand, and its 10,000mAh battery is the largest Poco has shipped. The body is a 6.83-inch slab, 229g and 8.65mm thick, with a plastic back and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over a 1.5K (1280×2772) 120Hz AMOLED panel. Memeburn lists IP69 protection. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 handles processing, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is no card slot. The cameras are a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide and a 32MP front camera. It runs Android 16 on HyperOS 3, with up to four major OS updates promised. Indian sales began on 11 September 2026.
The battery is a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon cell that charges at 100W over a cable. Wired reverse charging goes up to 27W, so it can top up a second phone or earbuds, and bypass charging is supported. Poco has not published a usable capacity figure. One expert review measured about two days of mixed use and roughly 80 minutes to go from 20 to 100 percent. Poco’s own claim is 3.5 days, and that number depends heavily on screen time and signal strength.
In India the 8GB+128GB model costs ₹35,999 and the 8GB+256GB model costs ₹38,999. Launch offers bring the effective price to about ₹32,999. GSMArena lists a European price of about €330. I found no confirmed Nigerian pricing, so check local retailers.
It makes the most sense for someone who streams a lot, travels, or can’t count on a nearby outlet, and who is fine with mid-range processing power.
Within Poco’s own range it sits between the Poco X8 and the X8 Pro. The X8 costs ₹29,999 and has a 9,000mAh battery with 67W charging. The extra ₹6,000 for the Poco X8 Power 5G buys 1,000mAh more capacity and faster charging. The X8 Pro retails around ₹39,999.
Outside Poco, the vivo T5 Pro and the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion are the closest rivals. The T5 Pro has a 9,020mAh battery, 90W charging and a 144Hz AMOLED display. The Edge 70 Fusion was listed on Flipkart at ₹34,999, but I only saw its price, so check its battery and chipset before comparing.
The nearest match is the Realme P4 Power, the only other 10,000mAh phone in India. Realme lists 10,001mAh, 80W charging and a 144Hz display at a lower 256GB price. The Poco answers with 100W charging, Dolby Vision, faster storage and better dust and water protection.
