PROS

  2. Big battery and the brightest screen (800 nits)
  3. Headphone jack, FM radio and microSD slot

CONS

  1. Only 4 GB RAM
  2. Low HD+ resolution

The Poco C81 is an entry-level 4G phone from Poco, Xiaomi’s sub-brand. The screen is a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS panel at 120Hz. The phone has a side fingerprint sensor and IP52 splash resistance, weighs 208 g and is 8.15 mm thick. There is one configuration, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, on a Unisoc T7250. It ships with Android 16 (HyperOS 3), and Poco promises 4 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches. That is a long update window for a phone under ₹11,000.

The battery is 6,300mAh and sealed. Wired charging tops out at 15W, and reverse wired charging is 7.5W over USB-C. 15W is slow for this capacity, so a full charge will take a while. Poco has not published a usable-capacity figure or a charge time.

In India the C81 launched at ₹10,999 and went on sale April 27 (about Php 7,100). A US listing shows $116.87, though that is an estimate, not an official price. It makes sense for someone who wants a cheap 4G phone with a big battery and long update support and doesn’t need 5G or a sharp screen. Within Poco’s range it sits above the C81x (₹9,999, 3GB RAM, 5,200mAh) and close to the C81 Pro (₹9,299, 6,000mAh). Realme’s C81 and the Infinix Hot 60i are the main rivals from other brands. The nearest direct match is the Realme C71: same 6,300mAh battery, same 15W charging, and a 4GB/64GB variant. It runs Android 15 and has a smaller 6.74-inch, 90Hz screen.
