Poco has put the Poco X8s up for pre-order in Vietnam without an announcement. It is the fifth phone in the Poco X8 series, after the X8 Pro, X8 Pro Max, X8 and X8 Power, and the smallest of them. The screen is a 6.35-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED with a refresh rate up to 120Hz, 3,500 nits peak brightness and 1.18mm bezels. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip comes with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Cameras are a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide at the back and a 32MP selfie camera at the front.
One outlet lists a third rear sensor, so the camera setup is not confirmed. The phone runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3, has an IP68 rating and a metal frame, and reportedly measures 8.06mm thick and weighs 187g. Reported connectivity is 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C and an IR blaster.

Battery and charging
The battery is 6,330mAh with 100W wired charging. That is less than the 6,500mAh in the Poco X8 Pro and well below the 8,500mAh in the X8 Pro Max.
Poco X8s Price, availability and alternatives
The 8GB+256GB model costs VND 11,500,000 (about $437) and the 12GB+512GB model costs VND 14,000,000 (about $532). Launch vouchers cut those to VND 8,242,500 (about $313) and VND 10,190,000 (about $387). It comes in white, black and blue, with shipping from November 6. Poco has not confirmed any other market. The phone is aimed at people who want a small screen without giving up battery size or charging speed.
Within Poco, the nearest options are the X8 Pro (6.59-inch screen, Dimensity 8500 Ultra, 6,500mAh, from $299 at global launch) and the X8, which uses a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and has a bigger battery. Outside the brand, the Google Pixel 9a and Samsung Galaxy A56 are the main rivals. Against the Pixel 9a, which also has a 6.3-inch OLED screen, the X8s has the larger battery and much faster charging, while Google promises longer software support.
