The Redmi Note 17 Pro Refresh is a mid-range 5G phone from Xiaomi’s Redmi line. It is sold in China as the Redmi Note 17 Pro Refreshed Edition. The screen is a flat 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED at 120Hz, the chip is a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and memory options are 6GB+256GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. It is the July Note 17 Pro with two new colors, Sand Orange and Energetic Green, and a reshuffled memory lineup. Processor, battery, cameras and display carry over. It was announced on October 13, 2026. It ships with Android 16 and HyperOS 3, weighs 226g and is 8.5mm thick.
The battery is a 9,000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang cell, charged at up to 67W over wire. The original China model also does 22.5W reverse wired charging. The 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 has eight cores and tops out at 2.4GHz. The panel reaches 3,500 nits, uses 3,840Hz PWM dimming, and sits under Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Dust and water ratings run from IP66 to IP69K. The rear camera is a single 50MP sensor. The front camera is 8MP. Outside China the battery shrinks: the global Redmi Note 17 Pro has 8,340mAh.
The 6GB+256GB and 8GB+128GB versions cost CNY 1,599 (about $239) in China. The 8GB+256GB is CNY 1,699 (about $254). A launch discount of CNY 200 takes the entry price to CNY 1,399. A Vietnamese retailer lists the 6GB+256GB at about 6.2 million VND. Redmi has not confirmed a launch outside China. The global Note 17 Pro, for reference, started at $400. This phone suits someone who wants battery life and a bright, water-resistant OLED and does not need a second rear camera. Inside the Redmi range it sits above the Redmi Note 17, which has a 7-inch OLED, an 8,000mAh battery and 45W charging. It also competes with the global Redmi Note 17 Pro. Outside the brand, the Realme 16x 5G (Dimensity 6300, 7,000mAh) and the Honor X70 (Dimensity 7025 Ultra, 8,300mAh) sit in the same price bracket. The closest match is the original Redmi Note 17 Pro, which has the same chip, display, battery and camera. The Refresh differs by dropping the 8GB+512GB and 12GB+256GB versions.
