PROS

  1. 100W wired charging with 22.5W reverse charging
  2. Compact 187g body with IP68 and a 3,500-nit LTPO OLED
  3. UFS 4.0 storage and Wi-Fi 7

CONS

  1. 6,330mAh battery is smaller than the X8 (8,340mAh) and X8 Pro (6,500mAh)
  2. Camera setup is inconsistently reported, with no confirmed video specs or wireless charging

The Poco X8s is an upper mid-range phone from Poco, Xiaomi’s performance sub-brand. It has a 6.35-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED (120Hz, 3,500 nits peak), a metal frame and an IP68 rating, and comes in at 8.06mm thick and about 187g. The chip is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Android 16 with HyperOS 3 is preinstalled. It is the fifth phone in the X8 series, with a smaller screen than both the 6.59-inch X8 Pro and the 6.83-inch X8.

The battery is 6,330mAh, and Poco hasn’t published a usable figure or a charging time. Wired charging runs at 100W (100W PPS is also listed), with 22.5W reverse wired charging. That capacity is below the X8’s 8,340mAh and the X8 Pro’s 6,500mAh.

It launched in Vietnam at $440 for 8GB + 256GB and $530 for 12GB + 512GB, and launch vouchers bring those down to $310 and $390. There is no confirmed US or European price yet. One US listing shows about $454, but it is marked “upcoming” and its specs contradict the launch reports. The phone fits someone who wants a smaller device with a current mid-range Snapdragon and fast charging, and who doesn’t need a big battery. Inside Poco, it sits above the Poco X8 (Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, from €399.99 in Europe) and the Poco X8 Pro (Dimensity 8500-Ultra, roughly $354 to $409 depending on the market). Outside the brand, the Realme 15 Pro and Vivo V60 are the nearest rivals. The Realme 15 Pro is the one to compare directly, since it uses the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
